We named it after a truth: everyone is running for something. Votes. Revenue. Influence. Belief. Talent. Trust. The competition is always on, whether your organization is ready or not.

A running club isn't a solo pursuit. It's a group of people moving in the same direction, holding the same pace, accountable to each other. That's what we build with every organization we partner with. Three reasons the name works:

Anthony Anthony built his career on a simple premise: the most effective change doesn't announce itself. It earns its way in, then moves fast.

Before founding RUNNING CLUB, Anthony spent years advising C-Suite executives across media, food services, tech, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and healthcare industries as a Creative Director and brand strategist at leading brand communications agencies. He learned early that the best ideas rarely win on merit alone — they win because someone did the work of making the organization ready to receive them. Sometimes that's the hardest part.

That philosophy was tested at scale when Anthony entered state government, ultimately serving as Connecticut's first-ever Chief Marketing Officer. The public sector is not known for bold creative thinking. Anthony treated that as an opening. He moved deliberately, building internal credibility, aligning stakeholders, and establishing a track record of results before taking the swings that would have been dismissed on day one. The outcome: an 841% increase in earned media impressions, state pride at a 12-year high, net promoter scores up an average of 142% year over year, and a marketing operation that punched well above its weight — earning Platinum HSMAI Adrian Awards and a PR Week nomination for Best Integrated Campaign, placing Connecticut alongside Coca-Cola, Heinz, Hasbro, and Unilever.

He also played a key role in helping Governor Ned Lamont secure re-election in 2022, when Lamont held the highest approval rating of any Democratic governor in the country. Not bad for a state better known for its exits than its ambitions.

Anthony launched RUNNING CLUB to bring that same inside-out approach to organizations ready to move. He embeds as a true partner — not a vendor — building the internal trust and momentum that turns fresh thinking into measurable progress. He works best where the canvas is blank, the pace is urgent, and standing still is not an option.

He is based in Avon, Connecticut, and was named to the Hartford Business Journal's 40 Under Forty in 2024.
